Willkie's Executive Committee announces that the firm has created a new position, the Director of Diversity Initiatives, and that special counsel Kim Walker has been appointed to the position. The Director of Diversity Initiatives will concentrate on creating new strategies that will maintain and enhance a supportive work environment.
The firm's Executive Committee recently announced that the firm has created a new position, the Director of Diversity Initiatives, and that special counsel Kim Walker has been appointed to the position. The Director of Diversity Initiatives will concentrate on creating new strategies that will maintain and enhance a supportive work environment. Specific attention will be paid to the design, development and implementation of programs that will improve associate retention, promotion and career development and increase the number and tenure of minority associates. Ms. Walker, who has been with the firm since 1991, is special counsel in the Intellectual Property Department in New York.
