On February 12 & 13, 2004, Willkie partner Bruce R. Kraus will co-chair an intensive two-day seminar entitled Telecom Recovery: The Transition From Restructuring, which will focus on reorganizations, commercial deals, and mergers and acquisitions in the telecom sector. The conference is designed to provide insights into the latest developments in antitrust, FCC and state regulation as government policy responds to the industry’s crisis. This will include a practical tutorial on carrier access charges. Distinguished speakers will also discuss the FCC’s triennial review order and appeals, as well as the focus of the Committee on Foreign Investments in the U.S. on telecom’s national security implications. The event, sponsored by Law Seminars International, will take place at the Sheraton Yankee Clipper Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Mr. Kraus is a partner in the firm’s Corporate and Financial Services, and Telecommunications Departments in New York, specializing in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and general corporate advice for telecommunications clients.
