On February 27, West Coast Chair of Willkie’s Real Estate Department Misty Sanford and partner Karen Lorang will speak at the USC Gould School of Law 2025 Real Estate Law and Business Forum, hosted in Los Angeles, California. Misty, Karen and associate Andrés Cantero Jr. will also serve as members of the forum’s planning committee.
At 1:30 pm (PT), Misty will interview Elisabeth Freinberg, Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel of LA28, the non-profit organization getting Los Angeles ready for the Olympics and Paralympics, in a fireside chat titled “Building Toward the Games: An Insider’s Perspective on the 2028 Olympics and Paralympics.”
At 4:45 pm (PT), Karen will moderate the panel titled “The Increasing Pace of CPACE: Creative Financing Solutions to Fill the Gap.” The panelists will discuss CPACE financing in workouts and recapitalizations, and provide insights on putting these deals together from the CPACE lender’s, bond counsel’s, senior lender’s and borrower’s perspective.
