On September 17, partner and Co-Chair of the Firm’s Corporate Governance practice Bob Stebbins participated on a panel titled “Key Topics from Securities Litigation: Shareholder Proposals & ‘Tracing’ in Section 11 Litigation” as part of the SEC Investor Advisory Committee meeting in Washington, DC.
The panelists examined how well the current regulatory framework protects investors’ ability to submit shareholder proposals and to bring Section 11 claims. The panel also provided insight into the costs and benefits of our current framework, and highlighted two “pain points” for securities investors: shareholder proposals and tracing under Section 11.
