On August 1, partner and Co-Chair of the Investigations & Enforcement Practice Timothy Heaphy will be interviewed as part of The Free Speech Debate on Campus, an event hosted by Axios in Washington, DC. Tim’s conversation will cover ongoing debates around the limits of free expression on college campuses, and he will discuss how institutions of higher learning can protect First Amendment rights while addressing student concerns about safety.
Tim is a lecturer at the University of Virginia’s School of Law, and he frequently writes and speaks about open expression within American universities. Prior to joining Willkie, he served as Chief Investigative Counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Select Committee to investigate the January 6 attack on the United States Capitol.
