On October 10, partners Laura Jehl and Timothy Heaphy will lead a discussion on “Ephemeral Messaging Policy Creation, Enforcement, and Collaboration” as part of the 2023 Regulated Industries Round Table Discussion series, hosted by Safeguard Cyber.
The discussion will focus on the legal landscape for encrypted and ephemeral messaging in the workplace, implications for data privacy and security, recent guidance from the U.S. DOJ and significant enforcement actions by the SEC. The Round Table will also address strategies for designing robust and practical policies governing the use of encrypted and ephemeral messaging and for responding to subpoenas and discovery requests for those messages.
