On June 21 and 22, Willkie attorneys Athena Eastwood, Neal Kumar and Paul Pantano will participate as speakers at FIA’s annual Commodities Forum Conference, where sessions will examine commercial and operational risks for firms: commodity market trends and volatility, the impact of margin constraints on liquidity and hedging and lessons learned from recent market disruptions in the US and Europe.
Sessions will also focus on legal and compliance risks: federal and state policy and regulations; CFTC, FERC, SRO and exchange enforcement and investigations, trade surveillance and compliance programs, sanctions, position limits, reporting and more. They will also explore how these issues bring opportunities for the industry.
On June 21 at 2:15 pm CT, senior counsel Paul Pantano will speak on a panel titled “Responding to Inquiries from Regulators.”
On June 21 at 3:15 pm CT, partner Neal Kumar will moderate a panel titled “Practical Tips for Trade Surveillance & Compliance Programs.”
On June 22 at 9:00 am CT, partner Athena Eastwood will speak on a panel titled “Carbon & Environmental Markets.”
