On February 24 at 1 pm EST, Willkie Litigation partner Laura Norris will speak on the “Pension and Welfare Plan Overpayments - What Plans and Participants Need to Know” webinar panel, hosted by the American Bar Association.
This webinar will provide guidance to ERISA attorneys on employee benefit plan overpayments to participants of pension and welfare benefit plans, both from the participant’s and the plan’s perspectives. The panel will discuss how and when overpayments arise, issues regarding recouping payments and restoring losses to the plan, equitable claims that may be asserted by plan participants, and strategies to help plan sponsors meet ERISA fiduciary obligations when dealing with overpayments.
